Prickles Tech LLC · Grand Rapids, MI
Let’s build something.
Prickles Tech is my company. I build things under it, I run software for a few people who asked, and I take on projects when they’re a good fit.
An idea, a stalled build, a site nobody’s maintaining, or an AI agent you want doing real work — all reasonable things to send me.

Working together
How it usually starts.
01
You send a few sentences
What you want, and roughly when. It doesn’t have to be figured out yet.
02
We talk for half an hour
Free. If the honest answer is that you don’t need me for this, I’ll say so.
03
I write down the plan
What gets built, by when, for how much. Then I build it.
Me
Jake Prickett.
I got my first computer in second grade and it’s been hardware and software ever since — running the family network, building machines from the motherboard up by middle school with the LED case lighting to match, hosting and modding my own Counter-Strike servers, and writing websites nobody asked for.
That turned into a career: mobile platform work at Ford that shipped in 26 countries, then principal engineer at Meijer on the ecommerce platform and the tooling twenty-odd teams built on. Prickles Tech is where I do that work on my own terms.
Outside of it there’s a home lab I keep finding excuses to expand, pizza I take too seriously, and a family in Grand Rapids.
What do you want to exist?
Even if it's rough. Especially if it's rough.
